MassHire BizWorks MassHire BizWorks provides services throughout the business cycle, especially hiring and retention best practices.
SCORE Retired leaders offer free small business mentoring, low-cost or no-cost business training and webinars, and numerous templates and tools to help you start or grow a business.
Small Business Strong Small Business Strong provides expedited, free resources to women &minority-owned small businesses ranging from access to capital to consulting, business restructuring, business growth, digital marketing and customer engagement plans.
Veterans Business Outreach Center VBOC equips veteran and active duty service members and their families with the resources to help them start and run their businesses.

Helps socially responsible small businesses grow at any level from just an idea to a well-established business.  Offers training classes, experts, and networking.  
Massachusetts Association of Business Incubators We serve a diverse group of entrepreneurship centers, program managers, directors, and policymakers and help guide, mentor, and develop sustainable entrepreneur support programs in every industry and demographic.
Small Business Administration Dedicated to small business and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses.
SBA THRIVE Offers an executive level  training in entrepreneurship specifically designed for the executives of small businesses with high growth potential, as well as the opportunity to develop connections with peers and work with business experts and professional coaches.

Mass Growth Capital Corporation MGCC drives inclusive economic growth through access to alternative funding, resources, and individualized services to identify and structure solutions tailored to each small business in Massachusetts.
Massachusetts Life Sciences Center MLSC invests tens of millions of dollars in positioning the Commonwealth and its workforce as the unquestioned leader in advanced biomanufacturing in novel therapeutics. 
MassDevelopment MassDevelopment offers financing and real estate solutions to support companies and nonprofits, increase housing, eliminate blight, and drive economic growth across Massachusetts.
SEED Corporation SEED is a lender and business assistance provider to all entrepreneurs with their start-up, small and micro businesses in the region.  The provide Fast Track Loans, Micro and Small Loans, SBA 504 Loans
STEP Grants STEP Grants help offset international business development and related marketing costs for small businesses. The maximum award for STEP Grants is $12,000.
HUD CDBG Economic Development Toolkit Microenterprise and small business development, large-scale commercial and industrial development, and job creation, job retention, and job training activities.
MassVentures Finds, funds and fosters early-stage deep tech that fuels economic growth across the Commonwealth.
Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation Supports two key building blocks of community development: affordable housing and child care and education.

Training/Education Resources

Training Program
Purpose
Massachusetts Biotechnology Education Foundation (MassBioEd) - Apprenticeships MassBioEd has created two Apprenticeship programs, one for Biomanufacturing Technicians (BMTs) and one for Clinical Trial Associates (CTAs).
On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program assists employers with the cost of hiring and training a new employee. Companies are reimbursed for employee wages during hiring. This program is available (if WIOA funding available) through the local MassHire Career Centers
Registered Apprenticeship Programs Registered apprenticeship programs provide employers with a chance to bring on talented, dedicated individuals who are committed to gaining the skills and experience that will make them an asset to the company.
Safety Consultations The Department of Labor Standards offers free, on-site consultations to businesses to help them recognize and control potential safety and health hazards.
Safety Training Grant The objective of this program is to promote safe and healthy conditions in the workplace by awarding state funds to eligible applicants who submit responses designed to provide and improve safety education and training in Occupational Safety and Health
Workforce Training Fund Program  A company can apply for grant assistance to train employees.
Commonwealth Corp Workforce Training Fund Mission is to afford businesses access to highly skilled workers and youth pathways to good jobs

Tax Incentives/Economic Development Target Area

The Town of Middleborough has been designated as an Economic Development Target Area by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is therefore eligible to negotiate tax incentives agreements to encourage commercial development in any of the three Economic Opportunity Areas.
